Malta Inc. is strongly committed to letting you know how we will collect and use your personal information. The policies below are applicable to data and information collected when you use the Malta websites, including www.maltainc.com (including any versions optimized for viewing on a wireless or tablet device); all email newsletters published or distributed by Malta; and all other interactive features and communications provided by Malta (“Sites”), however accessed and/or used, that are operated by us, made available by us, or produced and maintained by Malta Inc. and any related companies (collectively “Malta” or “we”, “us”, or “our”). We have established this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to let you know the kinds of personal information we may gather during your use of this Sites, why we gather your information, what we use your personal information for, when we might disclose your personal information, and how you can manage your personal information. Personal information refers to any information that can identify you directly or indirectly, such as your name, email address, or IP address. Non-personal information is data that cannot identify you personally, like aggregated usage statistics.

Please be advised that the practices described in this Privacy Policy apply only to information gathered online through our Sites. It does not apply to information that you may submit to us offline or by companies or organizations to which we may link or who may link to us.

International Data Transfers and Jurisdictional Matters

Your information collected through the Sites may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country where Malta, its clients, affiliates, or service providers maintain facilities. Please be aware that the data protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We take appropriate steps to ensure your privacy is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

For individuals residing in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland: When your personal information is transferred outside the EEA or Switzerland, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required under Article 46 of the GDPR. These safeguards primarily include the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, which impose contractual obligations for data protection on both the data exporter and data importer. We collect two basic types of information from you in conjunction with your use of the Sites, personal information and non-personal information.

Non-Personal Information

In addition, when you interact with the Sites, we may collect certain information that does not identify you individually and our servers may automatically keep an activity log of your use of our Sites (“Non-Personal Information”). How Do We Use Your Information?

We use the information we learn from you to help us personalize and continually improve your experience on the Sites. We may use your Personal and Non-Personal Information in the following ways:

Combination of Your Personal Information

Who Do We Provide Your Information To?

Except as disclosed in this Privacy Policy, we do not disclose information about your Personal Information collected online to any companies not part of Malta or its parent, subsidiaries or related entities. In no event will we sell or rent your Personal Information as part of a customer list or similar transaction.

Sharing with Third-Party Processors and Business Partners

We may share your Personal Information with various third-party service providers (processors) who perform functions on our behalf, such as IT service providers (hosting, data storage), analytics providers, customer support platforms, marketing and advertising partners, payment processors, and professional advisors (legal, accounting). These entities process personal data on our behalf and are contractually obligated through Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) to maintain the confidentiality and security of that Personal Information, processing it only according to our instructions and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
