Governor Maura Healey hosted a celebration of the Massachusetts climate tech industry leaders that were named to TIME Magazine’s Top GreenTech Companies for 2024.

Malta Inc. was honored at a prestigious event hosted by the Healey-Driscoll Administration celebrating Massachusetts' top climate tech innovators. This event spotlighted the outstanding work of twenty-eight climate tech companies, including Malta Inc., which was recently named to TIME Magazine’s Top GreenTech Companies of 2024.

COP28

Malta will attend COP28 from 30 November to 12 December 2023 at Expo City, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The United Nations Climate Change Conferences are the world's highest decision-making body on climate issues and one of the largest international meetings in the world. COP28 UAE will provide a milestone opportunity for the world to come together, course correct, and drive progress to keep 1.5C within reach - so we can meet the goals and ambitions of the Paris Agreement.

INCOSE New England Monthly Members Meeting

Malta’s Bao Truong, Technical Lead, Strategic Initiatives, has been invited to be the featured speaker at INCOSE New England’s Monthly Members Meeting. He is presenting on about how Malta’s innovative long-duration energy storage solution can be used to repurpose coal-fired power plants for clean energy storage, improve the reliability and efficiency of existing energy systems, and provide clean, co-generated heat for industrial manufacturing or district heating.

U.S. Department of Energy Meeting of the Electricity Advisory Committee

As a member of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s Electricity Advisory Committee, Ramya Swaminathan advises the DOE and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on issues of current and future electric grid resilience, security, reliability, sector interdependence, and make recommendations on DOE initiatives. The meetings will occur at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.

International Workshop on Carnot Batteries

Michael Geyer, Managing Director, Malta European Affiliates, and Ben Bollinger, VP, Strategic Initiatives, are presenting at the third International Workshop on Carnot Batteries. This two-day lecture program brings together experts in the thermal energy storage to discuss cutting-edge research and demonstration of Carnot battery thermal storage systems. Jointly organized by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, University of Stuttgart, and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the workshop serves as an international platform to present the latest results in Carnot batteries research and accelerate global innovation.

BVES Workshop: Innovation with Long Duration Energy Storage in Germany
